A Lego Bedroom

This term Silas had a group talk for kindergarten to prepare on his Bedroom. He decided to make a Lego model of his room to show the class. With a little help and discussions of scale, we came up with the model above. I particularly love Silas' attention to detail of a red cap on the top bunk and the chest of drawers with the book on top. Here is the real life version of the boys room.

And another creation from Silas!

Op shop Lego

A couple of weeks ago I found a $30 box of mixed Lego from our local op shop. The boys were thrilled - hours and hours of new creations waiting to be made with the addition of new hero factory pieces, some castle pieces and lego technic.

More Spaceships

Here are some highlights from a few weeks of spaceship building. From Xavier: a space ship and space station complete with missiles.

And I love the symmetry in Silas' space ship:

Lego Chima

Silas with "Crominus"

Ever since the boys received the latest Lego Magazine from their Lego Club subscription, they have been talking about the new Lego Chima range. This weekend the boys used their pocket money to each buy a Chima pack. Each pack comes with a character, a vehicle (with one wheel and a 'ripper' a bit like a beyblade) and an obstacle that the character drives through and tries to knock something down. Most of the fun has been with 'ripping them' to the chant of "3, 2, 1 Chi!" and racing them across the kitchen bench.

Last Day of the Holidays

Today was the last day of our six week school holiday break before Xavier starts Year 1, Silas begins Kindergarten and Micah starts Preschool. All three boys had a fun time creating spaceships together.

Pratt Boys Love Lego

This blog was started by myself and my 3 sons as a place to show what we have made with Lego. Lego is played with regularly in our house and most days at least one of the boys will say "Mum, look what I made!" Here are some of the highlights over the last few years. Their designs are built with pieces we have in our collection - some Lego City sets, some Star Wars and Ninjago sets and lots of Lego from my childhood.

This micro coffee machine was entered in an online competition on a blog that has since finished called 'LegoQuest'. It is my hope that we can start another Lego building challenge on this blog.
